Started out great but you should've finished it.

Other than that, work a bit more on backgrounds. There, I reviewed it. Happy?

An amazing but flawed Flash platformer

The amount of effects that have been crammed into this game is staggering; ragdoll physics, gibbing, particles and great graphics/sound design to boot. Unfortunately, there are far too many problems in the design and gameplay that really mar the presentation. The AI is rather dumb; I've seen them kill each other numerous times (When it isn't instantly headshotting me or blowing me up from offscreen) The tracking of the cursor really factors into this. I've had to restart levels 5 or more times because the AI instantly kills me before I have a chance to react, usually because the camera tracks the cursor and reveals an enemy that should be hidden (see level 3 in particular, the cursor has to be in the center of the screen lest the enemies see me and blow me up with the explosive crates)
The player physics are really wonky as well. Especially frustrating is the knockback I get when I hit something in mid air. This makes attempting to clear a waist-high crate a very calculated maneuver, something I shouldn't need to think about when playing a fast-paced 2D platformer. Next is the jump platforms: they're supposed to help me get from place to place, not leave me hanging in midair to be juggled by enemy gunfire. Finally, the falling damage is ridiculous. I should not be instantly killed should I fall what appears to be 5 feet. Some damage sure, but not instantly killed. Not having the ability to stop myself in midair makes pinpoint jumping frustrating.
The weapons are satisfying to fire, but there's far too much randomness in the way they behave. Particularly bad is the shotgun. Sometimes, it'll fire a very accurate single shot, sometimes a very wide double shot rather than a predictable spread. Coupled with frequent enemy placement and the high damage rate of the enemy fire, this makes passing even early levels an endeavor of luck rather than skill.
All in all, the result is a very difficult, very frustrating shooter. I'm not going to deny that this game is a shining beacon of what's possible with Flash. In fact, I'm probably going to recommend this game to certain friends who are interested in game development. However, this game will also serve as an example of what happens when too much emphasis is placed on presentation rather than gameplay.

Amazing concept!

This is probably one of the most well thought out and original games on Newgrounds. Great progressive gameplay and graphics round it off.
Well done!

Very good game.

Good job on this game, I enjoyed it. The graphics were nice, music was great although I found it possible to cheat by randomly button mashing. Other than that, great game.
Happy Clockday!
